January is almost OVER! where did my time GO?

Finally, one more week of OVER-time! i’ve come to realize that I am a MORNING person – FO’SHO. time flies in the morning classes. my evening classes are HORRIBLE & i feel so MISERABLE.

lately, though, i’ve been thinking, which i hate doing about the future. when i’m not doing anything, that’s all i think about. what am i going to do after my contract is over? do i want to go back to school? do i want to live in korea? do i want to bum around? WHAT WHAT WHAT?! aigooo, but i shall not let such thought wander and infect my brain. muahhaha.

so, everyone is away now. they’ve all returned home for vacation except me. thus, there is only ONE thing to do this weekend: SHOPPING! SHOPPING! SHOPPING!

Hello 2010! It’s my 8th month in KOREA, already?!

So far, 2010 has been GREAT. We got the day OFF yesterday because of way toooooo much SNOW! That phone call from the office was the BEST phone call E-V-E-R! “Nancy, All classes are canceled today. You don’t have to come in today.”

My heart was pounding. My body was overly excited with joy and happiness. My thoughts were going crazy. My palms were sweating. My fingers were shaking from the AMAZING news that I had a difficult time pressing the buttons on my phone. At one point, I thought : THIS IS WAY BETTER THAN GOING TO FT ISLAND CONCERT (but that thought didn’t last long!).

SO, I spent the whole day with fellow Virginians =] It was a fun day!  Right after I said my “BYES,” I felt the gloomy clouds hovering over me. It was not a good feeling. BACK to REALITY.

…and so the countdown begins: 17 More WEEKS!

It’s the 1st DAY of VACATION!

I tried to shop for a couple of things on my imaginary list. I visited NDM and DDM. It was different because I’ve never been there on a weekday.  I am slowly becoming addicted to sneakers (again). I can’t see anything but those beautiful sneakers. Of course, I bought ONE  -  NIKE air max. It’s SO comfortable. Why didn’t I know about these shoes before? I also bought jeans and of course, like always, it doesn’t fit. Whatever – I’m going to make ‘em fit!

On my way back home – I decided to take the subway. I ALMOST died in the subway. There were so many people crammed into this subway around rush hour. At one point, I couldn’t even BREATHE! Thus, I got off at a random stop and waited for the next one. It didn’t matter because the next one was packed to the max too. Amazingly and Luckily, I arrived in JeongBalSan (alive!). Oh, and GREAT news – the escalators are almost DONE in JeongBalSan Station!

Well, my shopping will continue tomorrow =]

Where in the world is GUMI?

It’s right outside of DAEGU! So, I visited my cousin this past weekend. It was FUN FUN FUN. We spent the entire Saturday and Sunday morning playing eating playing eating. I have never done so much in one day – ice skate, bowling, billiard, and then a long night of poker. Because we didn’t have money, we decided to substitute money with physical punishment. Dang – no mercy. My left arm is purple and red and bruised. It was FUN =]

It was a lovely get-away. I was getting really sick and tired of my students.

5 more working days ’til VACATION!

che..check..check it out.
